These days, police will be on the roads of the region There will be more squads. Police officers, together with volunteers and representatives of the public, will conduct raids, paying special attention not only to drivers, but also to pedestrians.
In addition, public transport - buses and taxis - will be checked, and control over the behavior of drivers of foreign-registered cars has been tightened.
Despite the measures taken, 44 traffic accidents have been registered in the region since the beginning of the year. As a result of traffic accidents, 5 people died and 58 received various injuries. Patrol police officers recorded 15,850 traffic violations, including 83 cases of drunk driving.
