Today, the regional akim Beibit Isabayev met with the newly formed composition of the regional public council and discussed the results of the past year and joint plans, - the press service of the Zhetysu region akim reports.
Noting that, as the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, public councils are an important tool for strengthening the relationship between the state and society, the regional head expressed his opinion on the importance of focusing the work of the public council on topical social, economic and public issues. In this regard, it would be useful for the public council to study and analyze these issues and to introduce its own proposals and opinions.
- I invite you to work closely with local executive bodies. From our side, the necessary support will be provided to increase the potential of public councils and create favorable conditions for their work. Maslikhat deputies, members of the public council, local executive bodies - we are all united by a common goal, which is to continue implementing the reforms carried out by the President, establish a rule of law, a just society and improve the quality of life of the population. Therefore, we need to work hand in hand with you, conducting an open, fair, constructive dialogue, and working hand in hand with each other on an equal footing, - said B. Isabayev, briefly reporting to the members of the Public Council on the results of the past year and future plans. He expressed confidence that the work will be effective, feeling responsible for the people.
In turn, the Chairman of the Public Council, Asset Kydyrmanov, Chairwoman of the "Erlik" Public Association of People with Disabilities, Roza Akzharkenova, President of the Regional Civil Alliance, Daniya Kydyrbayeva, Head of the "Meiirmidzi Zhetysu" Volunteer Front Office, Shyrai Samatkyzy, and other members of the Public Council shared their thoughts. They noted that the Public Council is a big school, a new experience for each of its members, and said that in the new period of mutual partnership relations, they will work in accordance with the trust of the people and based on their suggestions and wishes.
Let us recall that the regional public council began its work in a new composition with 32 members. The composition of the council was renewed by 72%. 84.4% of them are representatives of civil society, including representatives of non-governmental organizations, business communities, political parties, trade unions, ethno-cultural centers, media, and the education sector.
