The head of the region Yerbol Karashukeyev told about the results of the development of the Zhambyl region in January-October 2024 at the site of the Central Communications Service.
The Speaker stressed that this year the implementation of large-scale reforms outlined in the President's messages continued.
In 10 months, the economy grew by 4.5%. This indicator is provided by positive dynamics in industry (0.8%), construction (22.6%), housing (3.5%), trade (2.5%), transport (13.6%), communications (8.8%).
The volume of industrial production amounted to 727.8 billion tenge.
The priority remains the development of high-value-added industries in the manufacturing industry and the use of our own raw materials.
The share of the manufacturing sector in the economy is 65.4%. The main "growth points" are the chemical and construction industries.
Since the beginning of the year, the Zhambyl chemical industry has produced products worth 212 billion tenge, providing over 77% of the region's exports, and its share in the volume of chemical production in Kazakhstan is about 24%.
48 phosphorite deposits with a reserve of 13 billion tons have been discovered in the region.
The enterprises of the region produce 100% phosphorus and 81% mineral fertilizers in the republican section.
By 2030, it is planned to establish production of up to 1 million tons/year of premium grades of fertilizers and high-grade products.
The construction industry is also a driver of growth. Enterprises in this industry produce 87% gypsum and 13% Portland cement in the national context.
The richest deposit in terms of proven gypsum reserves (50 million tons) in Kazakhstan, Ulken-Burultau, is located in the Zhambyl region.
This year, KORCEM LLP launched a new cement production plant (capacity - 1.5 million tons), which will increase the volume of cement produced to 3 million tons.
Taking into account the increased demand for building materials, next year Alit Holding LLP launches the production of dry building mixes (capacity - 150 thousand tons), Knauf Gypsum Taraz LLP - the construction of a drywall plant (capacity - 22 million square meters/year).
The implementation of the projects will increase the product range to 12 items.
E.Karashukeev added that in 2024, 1,152 SME projects worth 31 billion tenge were financed. As a result, the output of SMEs increased by 23.9% (596.0 billion tenge).
