Athletes from the Sarani Center for Special Social Services have won basketball competitions within the framework of the Kazakhstan Special Olympics. The republican tournament was held in Shymkent. Nine teams from Karaganda, Almaty and Akmola regions participated in it.
The competitors of the athletes from the Sarani Center for Special Social Services in the final were Almaty residents. The decisive match ended with a score of 7:2 in favor of the Saransk basketball players. As a result, they became the champions of the tournament and won the cup. The captain of the team is Vyacheslav Voronov.
As noted in TSOSSU Sarani, the team of players was formed relatively recently. She is coached by physical education teacher Zhomart Urazbekov.
The training of athletes takes place in the gym of the institution. The center also provides training in mini-football, volleyball and floorball. And in winter, the recipients of the services go skiing and skating.
