A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the International Volunteer of the Year Award and the Marathon of Good Deeds project took place in Astana today as part of the International Volunteer Day.
A special commission considered 118 applications for the Volunteer of the Year award in 15 areas. According to the results of the competition, 47 participants were recognized as winners.
As part of the celebration of the International Volunteer Day, which is celebrated annually on December 5, an award ceremony for the winners of the Marathon of Good Deeds project was also held. This project is aimed at developing a culture of volunteerism and charity among the population of Kazakhstan.
Recall that the Marathon of Good Deeds project was implemented from July 9 to December 1, 2024. During this time, more than 7,000 good deeds were performed, and the number of participants amounted to about 50,000 people.
According to the results of the selection, 20 candidates were recognized as winners.
