As part of the beginning of the winter training period in the Armed Forces, the troops of the regional command "South" have begun conducting comprehensive tactical and drill exercises.
These days, every morning of military personnel begins with a "gathering" signal, obliging them to arrive at their duty station as soon as possible, receive weapons and be ready to perform combat missions as part of their unit.
No one knows in advance about the essence of combat missions. This is how the ability of the units to act smoothly and effectively in any situation is assessed.
At this time, the commander of the troops of the regional command "South", Major General Yerzhan Ibrayev, together with deputies and staff officers, discusses in detail the verification plan and formulates tasks. Calculations of time, quantity of equipment, fuel and ammunition are carried out, areas of concentration and routes of movement of units are determined, as well as issues of attracting mobilization resources are being resolved.
– Conducting comprehensive tactical and combat readiness exercises is a traditional event at the beginning of the new academic year, – said the first deputy commander of the troops of the RGC "Yug" – Chief of Staff Colonel Nurlan Karibayev. – This is how the readiness of troops and military authorities to perform tasks in various conditions is checked and the pace of the new training period is set.
To prepare for practical actions, combat vehicles are being withdrawn from the boxes, ammunition is being loaded. Military equipment is ready to move to the designated area at any time to perform tasks for its intended purpose.
During the complex tactical and drill exercises, the leadership of the regional command "South" oversees the work of the commanders. At the same time, their ability to manage subordinates and attached units, coherence and the ability of units to complete tasks on time is evaluated.
Bringing troops to various degrees of combat readiness at the beginning of a new school year is a kind of entrance exam for troops. The pace taken at the start will be maintained during the further stages and, undoubtedly, will affect the quality of combat training.
