The scientific and practical conference "Data Journalism for Sustainable Development: Goals, Challenges and Human Rights for Central Asia" will be held in Almaty

The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs that on December 10 this year, together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central Asian Association of Journalistic Studies, the School of Law and Public Administration of NARXOZ University, it is planned to hold a scientific and practical conference "Data Journalism for sustainable development: goals, challenges and human rights for Central Asia" (program attached).
The event is dedicated to discussing the use of big data and artificial intelligence to strengthen legal protection and freedoms in the media, as well as approaches to teaching data journalism.
The conference will be attended by leading international experts and representatives of organizations in the field of media and journalism: OSCE Representative Office on Freedom of the Media (Austria); Worlds of Journalism Study (Germany); World Council for Journalism Education, Academy France Médias Monde (France), research organizations and universities from Germany, France, Sweden, USA, Netherlands, Slovakia, representatives of journalism and media faculties of Central Asian universities.
