In honor of the 85th anniversary of the Kyzylorda Regional Museum of Local Lore, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opened an exhibition "The Land of Cheese - the cradle of Turkic civilization".
The exposition includes the Korkyt Ata heritage, included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage, as well as ethnographic objects of the XIX–XX centuries.
The exhibition presents the results of archaeological excavations at ancient settlements in the region, such as Chirik-Rabat, Syganak, Tugisken, Zhetiasar, Zhankent, Kyshkala, Asanas. There are also dombra collections and paintings stored in the S. Aitbayev Art Gallery.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by deputies of the Senate and the Mazhilis, poets, writers and representatives of the creative intelligentsia.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until December 19, 2024.
