A regular meeting of the commission on the appointment of heads of regional sports departments was held in the capital under the chairmanship of the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Myrzabosynov. The candidates of four candidates for the position of head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Kyzylorda region were considered at the meeting.

The following candidates were nominated for this position: champion of the Athens Olympics in boxing Bakhtiyar Artaev, acting head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Kyzylorda region Zhiger Ayekeshov, director of the Kaysar football club Sadik Mustafayev and head of the KSU "Elorda Sports Club for People with Disabilities" under the Akimat of Astana Azamat Tagaev.

During the meeting, the commission members asked the candidates questions regarding their professional experience, plans for the development of sports in the region, as well as the level of knowledge in the field of sports science and management.

Candidates are nominated by the local executive body, but their appointment is carried out only after receiving a positive opinion from the commission established under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
