Large-scale events were organized in the framework of the national environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" in the Ulytau region. On this day, cleaning campaigns were held in all cities and districts of the region.
The main goal of the large–scale campaign is, along with cleaning the territories, to draw the attention of residents to the need to take care of the environment. Despite the cold snap, all participants in environmental events showed high activity. Among the participants of environmental events are representatives of local executive bodies, public organizations, students, activists and ordinary residents of cities and districts. In total, more than 1,700 people and 51 units of special equipment from 165 teams are involved in the campaign. More than 72 tons of garbage were removed.
In the regional center, residents and labor collectives of the city cleared the main streets and parks, squares.
And the labor collectives of the city of Satpayev carried out cleaning, painting, whitewashing on the territories of industrial enterprises.
"The main goal of the Taza Kazakhstan program is to attract the attention of the population to the problem of nature pollution, environmental protection, maintaining cleanliness and forming an ecological culture in society. In addition, the event will be aimed at patriotic education of young people, because thanks to such projects, the eco-volunteer movement is developing, which is a good example of respect for nature," said Toleubai Daryn, head of the BIRLIK volunteer club.
Residents of the city of Karazhal also carried out cleaning in their yards and took out garbage from unauthorized landfills to a special landfill.
Residents of the districts of Zhanaarka and Ulytau also did not stand aside and took part in environmental actions. In all settlements of these areas, work was carried out to destroy dried trees and weeds.
Also, residents of high-rise buildings in cities cleaned and put their yards in order. The cleaning campaign was led by the chairmen of apartment owners' cooperatives.
Within the framework of environmental actions, responsible specialists of akimats of cities and districts of the region inspected sanitary cleanliness in local territories. We had a conversation with the owners of facilities that did not comply with sanitary cleanliness, where there were inconsistencies with the rules of landscaping, and warned about the need to eliminate deficiencies as soon as possible. It was instructed to carry out such works as preliminary cleaning of buildings, landscaping. In addition, the heads of municipal institutions were given specific instructions on cleaning and cleaning of garbage from streets, pedestrian paths and bus shelters in urban areas.
