This year in our country was declared the "Year of Working Professions" by the Decree of the Head of State. At an important meeting chaired by the deputy akim of the region, Beisenbai Tazhibayev, plans for implementation in this direction were presented, and it was announced that various measures would be taken to raise the image of working professions in the industrial and social spheres. At the meeting, the deputy akim of the region gave specific instructions to the responsible leaders.

– Head of the region Nuralkhan Oralbayuly instructed to train young people who will work at the production facilities opened and to be opened in the region. This issue should be the main focus. A regional plan for the "Year of Working Professions" has been approved in the Turkestan region. The plan consists of 7 directions and 64 steps. Our main task is to improve the system of training working personnel, increase the participation of employers in the training and support of working personnel, and raise their image. Sectoral departments, district, city akimats, and technical and vocational education organizations work together. In addition, sectoral departments and akimats will develop their own plans and provide support to workers through social programs. An "Atlas of Professions" will be created, which will be in demand in the labor market of the region in the future. We need to intensify work in this direction, - said Beisenbai Dauletuly.

Aigul Kasymbekova, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Turkestan region, reported on the work being done in this area. According to her, open days and "Vacancies" fairs and excursions are organized at enterprises with the participation of representatives of vocational guidance, medium and large businesses. The "Mamandyk Fest" festival, "Fair of Professions", "Doubler Day" project, "One School One Skill" project, "Jas SkillsTurkistan", "Junior Skills Turkistan" professional skills competitions and subject Olympiads have been launched. Among young people, the "One Day of a Worker" regional fair of working professions, the "Working profession is the key to a successful future" forum, the "I am an entrepreneur!" Today, 10,353 students are enrolled in 35 colleges with the dual education system in 64 specialties with the participation of 654 medium and small enterprises. alt="✔️" width="16" height="16">Based on the demand of investors and enterprises, work is being carried out to open new specialties. 10 profile classes will be opened in schools and technical clubs in additional education organizations. Rebranding of colleges is being carried out, that is, work is being carried out to improve the image of educational institutions and strengthen cooperation with employers.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, 15,525 state orders were placed. Of these, 8,678 are in working specialties. 15,500 state orders are planned for the 2025-2026 academic year. It is planned to increase the number of working specialties by 9,500.
