The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with Professional Accounting Organizations, is implementing the nationwide campaign “People’s Accountant” starting January 5, 2026. The campaign is aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and improving the quality of accounting and tax reporting.

The campaign will run until June 30, 2026. Its main format is free offline consultations at the offices of the State Revenue Departments in regional centers, as well as in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent.

In January–February, consultations are held three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 10:00 to 13:00. Starting from March 2026, they will be held twice a week. The schedule and addresses are published on the official websites and social media pages of the Committee of State Revenues (KGR), Regional State Revenue Departments (DGR), and Local State Revenue Departments (UGD). Reception areas are marked with signs reading “People’s Accountant.”

Employees of the state revenue authorities and more than 120 accredited professional accountants are involved in the campaign.

Since the launch of the campaign:

• More than 17,500 taxpayers have received consultations;
• Over 160 interviews have been conducted;
• Around 2,500 publications have appeared in mass media, TV, radio, and social networks;
• 163 video testimonials have been collected, including from bloggers and influencers.

The live dialogue format has proven effective: taxpayers receive practical explanations on accounting, tax reporting, and working with information systems.

Within the campaign, taxpayers are provided consultations on:

• Choosing the optimal tax regime and transition period issues;
• Tax benefits and deductions under special tax regimes;
• Issuing electronic invoices;
• VAT thresholds, registration and deregistration for VAT under special and general tax regimes;
• Permitted types of activities for the self-employed;
• Procedures for fulfilling tax obligations, and much more.

The “People’s Accountant” campaign continues.
