As part of the Open Day, the regional governor Askhat Shakharov and the regional prosecutor Marat Abishev met with entrepreneurs and discussed issues of protecting business and protecting the interests of investors.

During the meeting, the issues of ensuring the legal protection of entrepreneurs, improving the investment climate of the region, and guaranteeing the observance of the legal rights of the business community were raised. This event became an effective platform for constructive dialogue and exchange of views between authorities and entrepreneurs.

The regional governor Askhat Shakharov noted that in 2024, 901.1 billion tenge of investment was attracted to the regional economy, including 337.4 million US dollars of direct foreign investment. He also noted the importance of improving infrastructure to attract new investors. At the same time, he said that the third line of the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline had been put into operation, which would solve the problem of gas shortage in the region and provide new projects with gas.

Then, the head of the region emphasized the importance of the special economic zone (SEZ) created on the basis of the Aktobe international airport, noting that it would give impetus to the development of logistics, transport and the processing industry. He also reported that an industrial zone had been created in the city of Khromtau and work was underway to attract investment.

He mentioned major investment projects in the industry, such as a mining and metallurgical plant, a porcelain factory, a multidisciplinary clinic and an organic fertilizer plant. These projects will create thousands of jobs and attract significant investment.

It was also announced that in order to support entrepreneurs, it is planned to provide preferential loans to small and medium-sized businesses in the city of Aktobe within the framework of the Orken-2 state program.

“We are actively working to improve the investment climate in the region. Last year, more than 900 billion tenge of investments were attracted to the regional economy, which is a good result. The development of infrastructure, the creation of new industrial zones and the implementation of special programs to support business will continue. We are always open to partnership and are ready to provide comprehensive support for doing business in the region. I believe that together we can develop and strengthen our economy,” said the regional governor, Askhat Shakharov. Regional prosecutor Marat Abishev touched upon the work done to protect business and investors. According to him, since 2023, the prosecutor's office has been providing legal support for investment projects and actively participating in the prevention of violations of the law by state bodies. “In 2024, the prosecutor's office provided assistance to more than 30 investors, their contribution to the economy was 345 billion tenge,” said the regional prosecutor. The prosecutor also noted the introduction of a “prosecutorial filter” system.
