Today, on February 20, a public hearing was held in the village of Shetpe, the center of the Mangistau district, on the construction of a visitor center in the Ayrakty mountain area.

The event was attended by a maslikhat deputies, veterans, representatives of civil society, nature lovers and experts participated.

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized at the expanded meeting of the Government that tourism should be a sector that gives a new impetus to economic growth. In accordance with the President's instructions on the development of tourism, it is planned to implement new projects in the region.

During the public hearing, held in accordance with the law, the issues of constructing visitor centers in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bOne of the attractions of Mangystau - Mount Ayrakty, as well as other infrastructure facilities aimed at improving conditions for tourists and local residents were discussed.

The goal of the project is to create a comfortable and convenient space for tourists. The center will allow guests to get to know the unique nature of the region in more detail and feel the spirit of the traditional culture of nomads. In addition, the most careful use of the environment is envisaged.

The project will build 15 glamping sites with geodome tents, an ethno village, a teahouse and a restaurant at the foot of the Ayrakty mountain range. All these facilities will be built at the expense of the domestic investor's own funds.

According to the project authors, this visitor center will pave the way for the development of the regional economy and an increase in the number of domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, it will allow local residents to start their own businesses, sell their products and earn income. If the project is successfully implemented, more than 50 new permanent jobs will be created.

Participants of the public hearing said that the new tourist facility being implemented will bring great benefits to the residents of the region.

“We are happy with the news that a hotel will be built in Ayrakty. Because we have many villages with farms. If the camels of that village, that herder, were served with shubat, beshbarmak, and bouzhy, the income of even ordinary herders would increase. New jobs would be created. Rural taxi drivers would also have an opportunity to earn money. We unanimously support the project,” the residents said.

According to the results of the meeting, the project received unanimous support from the residents.
