In the Sarayshik district of Astana, those who illegally dumped construction waste were fined for environmental pollution, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.

The incident occurred near the LRT construction site near Sh. Kaldayakov Street and was detected by Sergek cameras. As a result of the prompt action of the district akimat and local police officers, the violators were brought to justice.

The offense was committed under Article 505 "Violation of the rules for the improvement of the territories of cities and towns, as well as the destruction of infrastructure facilities of cities and towns, the destruction and damage of green plantings" (20 MCI) and Article 434-2 "Pollution of common areas, parks, squares, including dumping of municipal waste in undesignated places" (10 MCI).

The drivers who committed the offense were fined, and special equipment operating without documents was blocked in a penalty parking lot.

Since the beginning of 2024, 121 individuals and legal entities have been brought to administrative responsibility and fined 6,091,800 tenge. 229 warnings were issued.

Police officers strictly warn city residents that littering unauthorized places in the city is a violation of the law.
