In Karaganda, not only student loafs are now baked, but also student bread, pies, and even croissants. A student mini-bakery "Nan time" has been opened on the basis of the Karaganda College of Catering and Service.
The mini-bakery is an educational and production workshop created within the framework of the Year of Working Professions and the implementation of the national report "Quality Education Accessible to All".
At the opening of the mini-bakery, teachers held master classes on making bread, croissants, and desserts.
Currently, students with the qualifications of "cook" and "confectioner-decorator" are engaged in it while studying modules on working with dough. In the future, it is planned to open a specialty "baker". Now, for this, there are not only qualified teachers, but also a fully equipped practical space.
Professional equipment was purchased to create a bakery: dough cutting and rolling machines, steam convector, rotary and floor ovens, a refrigerator, racks, etc.
Deputy Director of the College for Educational and Production Work Dilyara Apsalyamova noted that the small bakery will allow students not only to improve their professional skills, but also to master the basics of entrepreneurship.
- We plan to not only teach students how to work with dough, but also sell our products through the social partners of the college, - said Dilyara Apsalyamova. - 58 bakery products are supplied to Karaganda stores under the "Nan time" trademark. Among them are various doughs, yeast and unleavened bread, sweet bread, croissants and many delicacies.
The opening of the bakery is timed to the anniversary of the college. It has been 85 years since its establishment.
