During a working trip to the Shalkar district, the regional akim inspected the construction of a physical education and health complex in the district center.
The construction of the sports facility began in 2023. However, later the contractor applied for amendments to the project. In the competition, which was re-announced in January of this year, Tunay Stroy Project LLP was recognized as the winner. The contractor plans to commission the fitness and health complex by the end of the year.
The future sports complex will have a 6-lane indoor swimming pool 1.5 meters wide and 25 meters long, as well as sections for various sports. Thanks to the new sports facility, modern conditions will be created for local residents to play sports and improve their health.
Askhat Shakharov warned the contractor that he would not further adjust the cost estimate of the project. The complex must be commissioned within the specified time.
A new building for the V. Tsekhanovich Sports School will also be built in Shalkar. The regional akim visited the site where the facility will be erected.
Children's and Youth Sports School No. 1 named after Vladimir Tsekhanovich is a training ground for personnel. It has educated several generations of famous athletes in boxing, judo and Greco-Roman wrestling.
Currently, 750 children from Shalkar are involved in sports at BZHSM No. 1. The building of the 58-year-old school is dilapidated. In this regard, a decision was made to build a new two-story building for the sports school instead of the old adapted building.
"The old school building had only two wrestling mats. We have provided for three mats in the new one. In addition, separate halls for girls will be provided. There will be a field with stands that will allow holding competitions at the republican level. We have also included playgrounds for football and volleyball in the project. The new building will be equipped with a modern gym, and an administrative building for coaches and school employees is provided," said Daulet Daribayev, director of the BZHSM.
"The school has educated famous athletes who have made the region famous in the international arena. I am confident that the Tsekhanovich Sports School will continue its work as before and will train new generations of outstanding athletes. We will support the development of sports in our region and create conditions for the education of future champions," said the regional akim.
After viewing the land plot on which the facility will be built and familiarizing ourselves with the project, the akim instructed the contractor to perform the work qualitatively and complete the facility on time.
