The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabosynov, met with the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Degtyarev. The parties discussed the results of sports cooperation between the two countries last year and shared future plans.
"Kazakhstan and Russia have established close cooperation in the field of sports and have been successfully implementing joint work in a number of areas. In particular, Russia's rich experience in sports and infrastructure potential are important for our athletes. This has a direct impact, in particular, on the development of winter sports. Last year, domestic athletes participated in several training camps in Russia and improved their skills," said Yerbol Myrzabosynov.
It should be noted that Russian athletes actively participated in the 5th World Nomad Games held in the capital last year, demonstrating their skills in national nomad sports.
During the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in further strengthening sports cooperation. Kazakhstan and Russia are also ready to develop joint initiatives at the international level and provide mutual support in organizing major sports events.
