A concert and exhibition dedicated to the anniversary were held in the shopping and entertainment center "Khan Shatyr" of the capital.
Musicians of the Central Military Orchestra of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NMPA) performed classical and modern works for the city's residents. The familiar military and patriotic, march and jazz melodies performed by the orchestra were met with applause from the audience.
Soloists of the Central Ensemble of the NMPA delighted the audience with songs and patriotic compositions from the war years. And the soldiers of the creative platoon of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan delighted the city's residents with a fiery soldier's dance.
- We are always happy when the military perform in front of the public. Many people come to our center on weekends. The performances of military personnel are always warmly received by the audience, - noted Zhazira Sadykan, a representative of the administration of the "Khan Shatyr" shopping and entertainment center.
The military personnel of the honor guard company also performed on the central square, who drew the attention of the audience with their neat lines and precise movements.
- Thank you to the Ministry of Defense for organizing a real holiday for visitors to the "Khan Shatyr". The appearance of the soldiers, the harmonious play of the musicians, the burden of the melodies of the war years - all this makes a special impression on those familiar with them and brings back memories of the heroism of our soldiers who defended peace on earth, - said Aiman Batyrova from the capital.
Along with the concert held on the crowded square of the "Khan Shatyr" center, employees of the Military History Museum of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a traveling exhibition "Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945".
The exhibits include personal belongings, archival documents, unique photographs of war heroes Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Talgat Bigeldinov, Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Tleugali Abdibekov and Khiuaz Dospanova, as well as shells and soldiers' medallions found at the battlefields.
- The Second World War is an integral part of the history of Kazakhstan. The exhibition reminds us of the heroism of our compatriots who stopped the fascist "machine" that threatened all of humanity. Millions of people lost their lives in the bloody war. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to remember this sad page of our history and see the exhibits, - said Astana resident Alisher Tolepalganov.
In the anniversary year, the Ministry of Defense will hold similar events in other public places in the capital and regions of the country. The goal is to remind our compatriots of the heroism of Kazakhstani soldiers, the selflessness of home front workers who did everything to establish peace and Victory.
