On the instructions of the Head of State, it is planned to allocate 700 billion tenge for lending for spring sowing and harvesting in 2025, financing began in November 2024. "Finance is provided for the purchase of working capital in the amount of 48 billion tenge at an annual interest rate of 5%. It is planned to finance feedlots and poultry farms in the amount of 50 billion tenge. In order to effectively use preferential loans, we have moved from subsidizing farmers to subsidizing lenders, factories producing equipment, fertilizers and suppliers of irrigation water. These measures are aimed at increasing the transparency of subsidies and reducing the risks of corruption. To assess the effectiveness of subsidies, counter-obligations are being introduced to increase the volume of production," the vice-minister said.
