New York Film Academy Campus opens in Kazakhstan: admission of students is open
A branch of the New York Film Academy (NYFA) has started its work in Kazakhstan. It became the third NYFA campus outside the United States and the first world-class creative university to open in Kazakhstan.
The online signing ceremony of the launch agreement took place on March 1 at the Energo University site with the participation of Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Michael Yang, President of the New York Film Academy.
Studies at the branch of the world-famous academy will begin on September 29 this year in modern campus on the territory of the Energo University Creative Industries Park in Kaskelen near Almaty.
Teaching at the branch will be conducted full-time by professional NYFA lecturers who specially come from the USA in five areas within the framework of one-year and short-term training programs: Filmmaking; Producing; Screenwriting; Animation and Visual Effects (3D animation & VFX); Game development (Game design).
The first cohort of the Academy is planned to accept up to 200 students from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries of the region (China, India, Russia, etc.). Upon graduation, graduates will receive diplomas from an American university and the opportunity to continue their studies in New York or Los Angeles, taking into account the subjects completed in Kazakhstan.
