Each school graduate was offered the opportunity to consciously choose their future profession and get acquainted with the most popular ones on the labor market.
Akim of Aktobe region AskhatShakharov visited the exhibition and emphasized the need to widely promote technical and labor specialties among young people.
According to him, the development of labor specialties is a key factor in the region's economic growth, and the training of qualified specialists is one of the main tasks of the education system.
The exhibition brought together 21 enterprises, 40 colleges and social partners of the region. 9th grade students from all schools in the city were invited to it.
The "Professional Open Square" event presented the best practices of colleges and demonstrated the possibilities of cooperation between enterprises and educational institutions of the region. Master classes were organized for students in the following labor specialties: turner, tailor, hairdresser, driver, electrician and others. Participants not only got acquainted with the specialties, but also tried them out in practice, and learned the skills necessary for various professions.
The exhibition helped technical and vocational education institutions to present their achievements and innovations. For example, the European Higher College of Economics, Business and Law demonstrated a voice-controlled humanoid robot and a robot dog. They can be used in the hotel industry, assisting people with disabilities, and in search and rescue operations.
The Kobda Multidisciplinary College held master classes in woodworking for furniture making, allowing participants to try out their turning skills. Shalkar Polytechnic College introduced students to the technique of wool painting and felt making.
The exhibition paid special attention to rare specialties and professions for young people with special educational needs.
Representatives of the enterprise discussed the possibility of concluding tripartite agreements with colleges and students, paving the way for facilitating the employment of these graduates.
In addition, a job fair was organized as part of the exhibition. Participants got acquainted with the offers of employers and received advice on writing a resume, preparing for an interview, legal procedures in the labor market, and employment conditions.
Askhat Shakharov, who visited the “Professional Open Square”, noted that working specialties open up great opportunities for the region.
“Our task is not only to provide young people with high-quality professional education, but also to create conditions for their employment. Working specialties are in demand, stable and provide broad opportunities for the development of the region. "Within the framework of the Year of Workers and Craftsmen declared by the President, we give priority to the development of workers and craftswomen. In this regard, the task is to provide colleges with modern equipment. Currently, we are developing programs to equip 10 colleges. We need to prepare competitive and in-demand workers," the regional governor said.
This exhibition was an important step in attracting young people to technical professions, and also demonstrated real opportunities for professional growth and career development.
