TURKESTAN: PREPARATORY WORK TO CELEBRATE THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VICTORY IS COMPLETED

The akimat will provide a one-time financial assistance of 5 million tenge to veterans of the Turkestan region on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. There are 9 veterans of the Second World War living in the region. It is planned to provide a one-time financial assistance of 50 thousand tenge to 120 thousand tenge to citizens equated to veterans of the Second World War by category. Social support measures will also be provided in accordance with the law of the country "On Veterans".
At the weekly meeting of the apparatus chaired by the akim of the Turkestan region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, the action plan for celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory was widely discussed and the work to be done was finalized.
According to Asiya Temirbayeva, the head of the regional employment coordination and social programs department, the action plan covers not only the holidays, but also the implementation throughout the year. Today, the number of participants in the Great Patriotic War and those equated to them in the Turkestan region is 3,305 people. Of these, 9 are veterans of the Great Patriotic War. They live in Zhetysai, Ordabasy, Otrar, Saram, Saryagash, Suzak, Kazygurt districts and the cities of Kentau and Turkestan. The number of those equated to participants of the Great Patriotic War is 227, and home front workers are 3,069. In the Turkestan region, 242.0 million tenge was allocated from the district and city budgets to provide one-time cash social assistance to 3,305 people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In addition, a list of people who will be awarded the anniversary medal "80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War" is being compiled. In order to determine the social status of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and citizens equated to them, a social map was developed by district and city akimats. Their health and living conditions were analyzed. As a result of the social map developed for war veterans in order to carry out rehabilitation measures, the healthcare sector has provided medical services to about 500 veterans since the beginning of the year. This service will be provided throughout the year. In addition, through the "Veterans' Home" and the "Meir" Veterans' Home", about 400 elderly people per month and 7,800 per year are provided with rehabilitation services.
At the meeting, the head of the Regional Department of Social Development, Yerlan Kuzembayev, reported on the event plan. It is planned to hold large-scale events in the region within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. In particular, in order to promote the names of heroes, various competitions, excursions, scientific and practical conferences, "Zhas Ulan" military-sports games, mass sports events, a parade of troops are planned, festive concerts, thematic film evenings, exhibitions and meetings with collections of archival documents are planned.
As part of the launch of the "Salamatty Kazakhstan" specialized train, free medical treatment is being organized for participants of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and residents of remote stations by qualified medical specialists.
During the meeting, the work of 109 unified contact centers was evaluated. Nuralkhan Kusherov instructed responsible persons to listen to the suggestions of the people and improve infrastructure systems and carry out improvement works in a high-quality manner. Marat Aynabekov, head of the regional department of digitization, public services and archives, reported on the work done at the contact center and outlined future plans. According to him, in order to implement the concept of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "A State that listens to the voice of the people", 109 unified call centers in the Turkestan region accept calls from residents around the clock. Since the beginning of the year, the call center has received 11,358 calls, an increase of 15% compared to January. 71.4% of them are for consultations, 28.5% are registered as incidents. In addition, the majority of the issues raised relate to electricity supply, water supply, veterinary services, street lighting, and household waste. Last year, 130,224 calls were registered and feedback was provided to the population. In addition, a plan to use artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in the operation of the 109 line was presented. This, in turn, will increase the quality of the execution of applications and contribute to the quick and efficient resolution of issues.
