Today marks the 179th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and poet Zhambyl Zhabayev. On this occasion, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the monument to the mountain hero in front of the regional akimat building.
The event was attended by the akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev, Chairman of the Board of the International Union of akyns, akyns, aitys akyns and zhyrshy-termeshi Zhursun Yerman, deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aitys akyn Amanzhol Altai, regional and city veterans, chairmen of public councils, maslikhat deputies, intellectuals and public activists, and Taraz residents, who paid tribute to the spirit of the hero.
It should be noted that today, on the occasion of the birthday of Zhyr Alyby, who has witnessed a century, the traditional republican aytsy "Zhambyl is my common name, Halyk is my true name" will be held at the "Balasagun" Central Military District.
