The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues its work to strengthen the principle of "Law and Order" in society, as well as to ensure safety on the roads of the republic. On the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, a special campaign was held in Astana - drivers who strictly observed the rules of the road throughout the year were awarded.
Drivers who were on the road every day and did not violate traffic rules at all last year were selected to participate in the event. As an incentive, vehicle owners were awarded certificates for an insurance policy for a period of one year.
The campaign was organized as a result of the interaction of the police, Sergek and Freedom Insurance companies.
– The main goal of the "Safe Road" campaign, which is being held as part of the "Year of Prevention" announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, is to prevent road accidents, ensure the safety of all road users, and discourage violations of the rules. In addition, during the campaign being held today, drivers who have not committed any violations or been involved in road accidents during the year will be awarded, - said Aktoty Boranova, Senior Inspector for Special Assignments of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Every day, more than 284 thousand cars enter the roads of Astana, 77 thousand of which have not violated traffic rules over the past year. Among them, ten drivers who have traveled a lot, that is, covered a lot of distance, and who deserve the award were selected with the help of digital systems.
According to the organizers, such campaigns encourage drivers to drive safely, not to violate the rules, and to prevent road accidents.
