From March 1 to April 1, a large-scale campaign “Almaty is our common home” will be held in Almaty as part of the “Clean Kazakhstan” program. One of the goals of the campaign is to increase environmental culture and form a careful attitude towards the environment among city residents.

The campaign will be held over four thematic weeks, which are:
* “Clean streets” (March 1-9) - cleaning of bus stops, road signs, installation of garbage bins, improvement of highways;
* “Clean parks, squares and mountains” (March 10-16) - Saturdays and garbage collection in natural areas;
* “Clean yards” (March 17-23) - cleaning and painting of yard areas, children's and sports grounds, landscaping elements, landscaping, “Best yard/yard sweeper/yard garden” competitions;
* “Our city is our pride” (March 24-April 1) improvement of monuments and mass planting of trees.

“Continuing the environmental initiatives started last year, together we will make our city clean and comfortable "We are trying to do this. In 2024, new rules for landscaping were approved in Almaty, within the framework of which a system of landscaping passports was introduced for more than 6 thousand business facilities. To date, 4918 passports have been issued, which is 82% of the planned one. Passporting will allow us to establish responsibility for adjacent territories, including facades, sidewalks, green areas and other objects," said Deputy Akim of Almaty Beibut Shakhanov.

As part of the campaign, it is planned to dismantle more than 600 illegal non-stationary commercial facilities (SESN), install 12 thousand anti-vandal urns by April 1, improve more than 4020 courtyards, clean up 445 parks and flower beds, banks of rivers and lakes, and plant 5 thousand trees and shrubs.
