As part of the working visit of the delegation led by the regional akim Nurlybek Nalibayev to the People's Republic of China, several important agreements were signed at the embassy. Cooperation in the oil sector was established between Souths-Oil LLP and the Chinese company Carrie Technology Holding Limited, an agreement was established between Abzal and K TS and Hubei Yongxiang Food Processing Machine in the field of rice production, and a partnership in the field of salt production was established between Altyn Orda LLP and Jiangsu Hanpu Mechanical Technology.
The head of the region noted that the regional akimat would provide appropriate support and invited Chinese companies to work together.
“The Kyzylorda region is rich in mineral raw materials, in particular, oil, gas, polymetals and uranium. We have a special proposal for the development of polymetallic deposits of Shalkiya Zinc LTD, one of the projects of particular interest in the field of mining and metallurgy. Mr. Askar Tleulin, the director of the company, is also taking part in today's meeting. The Shalkiya Zinc project is planned to process 4 million tons of ore per year.
Currently, underground work has begun. Investments in the amount of 309 million US dollars have been attracted to the project. Production will begin in the second quarter of this year, and the enrichment plant will be launched in 2026. Until then, Shalkiya ore will be processed at other enrichment plants in the country.
Currently, the enterprise employs more than 500 people, and after the plant is launched, this number will increase to 1,500. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on the labor market in the region.
We invite you to work together. "The regional akimat is ready to provide the appropriate land plot, provide engineering infrastructure, and provide comprehensive support for the sale of manufactured products," said N. Nalibayev.
