A meeting between Minister Zhaslan Madiev and Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation Dmitry Bakanov was held at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
During the talks, the parties noted the importance of implementing the joint Baiterek project, which is a strategic direction for the development of the space industry of Kazakhstan and Russia. This project is aimed at creating a new launch infrastructure that will ensure the launch of future rocket carriers. During the meeting, the participants toured the facilities where the project is being implemented and got acquainted with the progress of its implementation.
Also, special attention was paid to the 70th anniversary of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which is celebrated this year. During the meeting, the main events dedicated to the anniversary and their organizational issues were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening cooperation in the field of space exploration and launch, as well as in implementing joint projects aimed at developing and operating space infrastructure.
Let us recall that Dmitry Bakanov was appointed Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation on February 6, 2025.
