In accordance with the Roadmap for the modernization of markets, 2 trade markets will be modernized in the Ulytau region this year. Deputy Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yernur Zhautykbayev visited the "Merey" and "Naryk" markets in the city of Zhazkazgan.
Trade entities intend to actively begin renovation work from April-May. Currently, documentation work and internal division work are underway in 2 markets. Yernur Zhautykbayev, together with market owners and representatives of local executive bodies, discussed issues that hinder the timely completion of renovation work.
"According to the roadmap, the renovation work of all markets in the country must be completed on time by the end of the year. You are well aware of this. We reiterate that this work is, first of all, the social responsibility of business. However, the local akimat should actively facilitate the renovation work," said Yernur Zhautykbayev, instructing the akimat to resolve the infrastructure problems that have arisen in the mentioned markets.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the requirements of trade legislation, trade markets must meet several requirements. The most important of these are that the market must comply with fire safety and sanitary requirements, ensure that consumers can make online payments, and have parking on its territory. Starting January 1, 2026, market owners who do not comply with the requirements of the Trade Legislation will be held administratively liable.
