Secular events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK) and Thanksgiving Day were held in the city of Kunayev.
During the festive meeting, the head of the region read out President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's congratulatory speech on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
The President noted the significant contribution of the APK to strengthening unity in the country, developing the language and culture of all ethnic groups, as well as increasing the status of the Kazakh language. He noted that the Assembly plays an important role in the formation of national identity, promoting such basic values ​​as patriotism, solidarity and responsibility.
As part of the important event, important discussions on interethnic harmony were held in the regional akimat, and the culmination of the celebration was a concert program in the city's House of Culture.
At the round table, the akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev highlighted the contribution of the AKP to strengthening stability and tolerance in the country for 30 years.
– “The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan plays an important role in ensuring the harmonious coexistence of different ethnic and religious groups. Thanks to his work, Kazakhstan has become an example of a systematic policy in the field of intercultural dialogue,” the akim said.
On the importance of friendship between peoples, the deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the chairman of the Azerbaijani ethnocultural association, Osman Asly, and one of the first builders of the city of Kapchagai, Zhen Alexander, expressed their views.
During the solemn part, various professionals were awarded letters of gratitude for their contribution to the development of the region.
– “2025 has been declared the Year of Working Professions. It is very important to show respect and gratitude to every working person who laid the foundation for the country's prosperity,” Marat Sultangaziev noted.
The celebration continued with a concert with the participation of creative collectives of the region. The audience enjoyed national dances and folk songs, as well as melodies performed on traditional instruments.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the keys to an apartment to a mother with many children, supported by the “Kareket” charity foundation.
At the end of the evening, it was once again reminded that the unity and mutual respect of Kazakhstanis are the main strength of the country.

In the anniversary year of the People's Republic of Kazakhstan, the implementation of social initiatives in the Almaty region will continue. Special attention is paid to supporting large and low-income families, victims of emergencies, as well as developing charity programs of ethnocultural associations.
Key projects:
•“Heart to Heart” campaign – providing additional assistance to victims of natural disasters;
•“Road to School” initiative – providing 2,100 children with educational materials last year, and the number of students covered by 2025 is expected to increase;
•“Vainakh” Chechen-Ingush Center – a program to provide medical assistance to those in need;
•“Akhyska” Turkish Center – supporting families in difficult situations;
•“Barbang” Kurdish Center – providing social excursions and assistance to pensioners and orphans;
•Belarusian ethnocultural association – expanding the New Year charity campaign and expanding the scope of coverage of children from low-income families.
In 2025, the region will strengthen strong traditions of kindness and mutual assistance will continue its work. Charity projects will be a tangible manifestation of unity and solidarity in society.
