Akim of Abay region Berik Uali visited the city of Kurchatov on a working trip and visited several socially significant facilities. He inspected the progress of construction and restoration work in the city.
The head of the region visited the House of Children and Youth Creativity, which was renovated at the expense of his own investment. In addition to such circles as robotics, sewing, dance, pottery, and gaming equipment, there is an assembly hall. When the facility is put into operation, about 20 people will be employed.
Currently, work is underway to restore abandoned buildings in the city. Empty multi-storey buildings are being gradually restored. 28 buildings in Kurchatov are suitable for reconstruction. Two residential buildings are currently being restored. In the near future, two more residential buildings are planned to be renovated. After the completion of the relevant work, the housing will be given to large families, orphans and civil servants. Currently, 249 people are on the housing waiting list in the city.
The regional akim, who got acquainted with the construction of the reconstructed housing, instructed to continue the work.
"Kurchatov is a city with great prospects and scientific potential. Therefore, it is necessary to restore the abandoned buildings in the city and give them to the benefit of the country. Currently, we are reviewing the regional budget. We will provide Kurchatov with all our support," the regional head said.
