The opening ceremony of the 10th International Tournament for the Olympic Champion Olga Rypakova Prize was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Athletes from 21 countries are coming to compete.
The Governor of the East Kazakhstan region Nurymbet Saktaganov attended the opening ceremony of the grand competition and wished success to the athletes gathered from all over the world.
- Dear sports fans, dear athletes! I congratulate you on the opening of the X International Tournament dedicated to the prize of Olympic champion Olga Rypakova! Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that a healthy lifestyle among citizens is the main condition for forming a healthy nation. More than 43 percent of the region's population trains at 1,687 sports facilities in the East Kazakhstan region. Today's grand competition coincides with Thanksgiving Day. On this occasion, I would like to thank our pride - Olga Rypakova - for her tireless work in raising the flag of our country, - said Nurymbet Saktaganov.
This year, along with our country's athletes, the strongest teams from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia will compete.
