A working detour was held in Kostanay with the participation of akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov, akim of the city Marat Zhundubayev, specialized services, emergency situations, police and contractors. The goal is to monitor the progress of snow removal and preparation for the flood period.
The detour route included the Yubileyny microdistrict, the Abai Kunanbayev school, the Second Kostanay district, school No. 122, the Airport microdistrict, the drainage canal in the Druzhba residential area, Abai Street and the Wheel Rows area. Special attention was paid to the condition of drainage structures and snow removal in residential areas.
As a result of the detour, instructions were given to the Akimat of Kostanay, the Emergency Department, the police and contractors:
• Accelerate the cleaning of streets, courtyards and drainage structures.
• Involve management companies and axes in the cleaning, as well as strengthen the awareness of private sector residents about the need for snow removal.
• Provide targeted assistance to people with limited mobility and socially vulnerable segments of the population – it is important to involve volunteer organizations.
Preparations for the flood period will continue. Control over the execution of orders is carried out online.
