Thus, the Specialized Interdistrict Criminal Court of Astana, with the participation of a jury, has issued a verdict against B.K. Bazarbek the head of a department at "Elorda Qurylys Company" LLP.

He was found guilty of fraud and incitement to bribery, demanding KZT 103 mln from the director of a contracting organization for the management of "Elorda Qurylys Company" LLP in exchange for an advance payment and an increase in the construction contract estimate for a multi-apartment residential complex in Astana.

B.K. Bazarbek has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.

The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.

According to subparagraph 1 of paragraph 3 of Article 77 of the Constitution and part 1 of Article 19 of the Criminal Procedure Code, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court verdict that has entered into legal force.
