On March 27, 2025, as part of the spring vacation school program, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held the regional workshop titled “Psychological and pedagogical support for parents of learners with special educational needs “Towards Each Other”. The event took place at Secondary School No. 26 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

Over 60 educational psychologists from educational institutions of the region participated in the workshop. The event was also attended by representatives of Asyl Miras Autism Support Center, Regional Psychological, Medical and Pedagogical Consultation Centre, S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, and Ak Niet Boarding School.

The workshop showcased the experiences of psychological educators from Secondary School No. 26, Secondary School No. 42, and Secondary School No. 37 in providing psychological and pedagogical support to parents of learners with special educational needs.

The event resulted in a question and answer session, providing an opportunity to delve into the topics discussed and to assess the relevance of working with parents in organizing psychological and pedagogical support for learners with special educational needs
