International competition “INFOMATRIX-ASIA” in Astana: Success of Kazakhstani schoolchildren

On March 30, 2025, the prestigious INFOMATRIX-ASIA International Competition took place in Astana city at the Spectrum International School. The event brought together around 600 participants and 100 team leaders from 9 countries with 210 innovative projects.
The participants demonstrated their skills and developments in nine categories:
- AI Programming
- AI Hackathon
- Computer Art
- Hardware Control
- Short Movie
- Applied Science
- Arduino Hackathon
- Lego Relay Race
- Startup Projects
The competition was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Daryn Republican Scientific and Practical Center and BILIM-INNOVATION Foundation, that highlights its significance for the development of IT education in Kazakhstan.
Remarkable results were demonstrated by 10th graders from Ulken Naryn Rural Lyceum - Denis Stashkov and Ilya Bochkaryev. They won second place in the Arduino Hackathon category, under the guidance of their talented teacher of computer science E. K. Murzakanov.
As a reward, the students not only secured an honorable position, but also won grants from the Almaty University of Energy and Telecommunications.
The INFOMATRIX-ASIA competition once again demonstrated the high level of preparation of Kazakhstani schoolchildren and opened up new horizons for them in the world of science and technology.
