The Department of State Revenue for the Jetisu region warns that car owners who have not paid the transportation tax risk having their car seized.
DGD informs when such measures are applied and how to avoid them.
Transportation tax is a mandatory annual payment to the state budget for owners of vehicles in Kazakhstan.
Only certain categories of persons are exempted from paying the tax. And those car owners who ignore this obligation, risk facing penalties ranging from fines to seizure of property.
Raids will be conducted on the roads to catch “unscrupulous” taxpayers with the participation of police officers and bailiffs.
For amounts owed over 1 MRP, tax orders will be sent to persons who have not paid the tax amount in time to collect the debt of an individual.
In case of non-payment of the debt in 5 working days after delivery, the tax order is transferred for enforcement to the regional chamber of private bailiffs. In turn, private bailiffs in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Enforcement Proceedings and Status of Bailiffs” have the right to apply enforcement measures in the form of seizure of bank accounts and property. Including in the presence of debts from 40 MRP, a citizen may be banned from leaving the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In addition, the state revenue authorities together with authorized bodies (Police Department and Regional Chamber of PSI) will carry out activities in respect of individuals who have arrears of tax on vehicles.
In addition, we inform you that information about the ban on leaving the Republic of Kazakhstan can be found by clicking on the link https://aisoip.adilet.gov.kz/debtors .
In order to avoid negative consequences during the upcoming summer vacations and vacation season, the Department recommends that in case of tax arrears to pay the debt.
