On April 2, 2025, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region and the Robotek Group company held a qualifying robotics tournament at IT-School-Lyceum of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, organized to create conditions for exploring modern technologies and boosting interest in engineering, IT, and innovation. The tournament marked an important step towards the development of technical creativity of schoolchildren, providing them with the opportunity to assess and enhance their skills in programming and robot design skills.  

The event was held as part of the educational project “Ozyk Urpak”, which set up robotics clubs in four schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, and provided teachers with methodological support.

The tournament was attended by 27 students aged 7 to 17, the participants demonstrated a high level of preparation and creativity.

Tournament results:

In the Robotek category:

• I place – Dariya Sagatova, Mukhametkalym Shyngys, Regional Specialized IT-School-Lyceum;
• II place – Tolkyn Nurislam, Azamatuly Alikhan, Secondary School No. 47;
• III place – Aidyn Inabat, Kabdrakhman Aknur, Secondary School No. 47.

In the Inverse Line Race category:

• I place – Zhumabekov Nurdaulet, Zhumabekov Zhandaulet, Secondary School No. 47;
• II place – Ashimov Alikhan, Erkin Zhasulan, Sh. Ualikhanov School Lyceum No. 3;
• III place – Anuarbekov Ersin, Samarbekov Ali, Sh. Ualikhanov School Lyceum No. 3.

The winners of the tournament were awarded diplomas of I, II and III degrees, and all participants received certificates.

Those who earned first degree diplomas in each category will present their projects at the Republican International Championship “Robotek Grand Tournament 2025”, to be held in May in Astana.

This tournament was a significant event in promoting robotics and engineering creativity among young people, as well as strengthening ties between educational organizations and the scientific community.
