A clothing exhibition was held on the occasion of the National Clothing Day
10.04.2025 16:49:06 660Today National Clothing Day was celebrated as part of Nauryznama. At the recently held meeting of the National Assembly, the President emphasized that the national costume is an important expression of our unique national identity and that we should glorify it in every way.
On this day, an exhibition called "Holy Clothes" was held in the regional historical and local history museum. The exhibition was attended by the mayor of SKO Gavez Nurmukhambetov, veterans and young people.
The works of ethno designer, member of the Union of Craftsmen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the UNESCO quality mark, Tilek Sultan were presented at the exhibition. The master's unique works showed a rich palette of traditions and customs of the Kazakh people.
"Kimeshek is not only a traditional headdress worn by women, but also a sacred element of Kazakh culture and a symbol of the mother. Each piece preserves centuries-old history and conveys the culture and traditions of our people. I thanked the organizers of the exhibition for their special contribution to the promotion of Kazakh culture. We want to preserve the rich heritage of our creative people and pass it on to future generations," the head of the region wrote on social media.
