The press conference, dedicated to the socio-economic development of Pavlodar region had been held in the Central Communications Service today. The head of the region Bulat Bakauov met with journalists and told them about development of Pavlodar region for 8 months 2017 and answered all questions, asked by the media.

The positive results have been achieved in the industrial and innovative development of Pavlodar region. The growth of the gross regional product was 5.6%. The contribution of the region to the republican GDP increased to 4.7% (4.4%). The positive dynamics was in all sectors of the industry. The volumes of copper concentrate, produced by Bozshakol GOK grew by 12%. The enterprises of metallurgy, chemistry, petrochemistry and mechanical engineering work stably. Electricity generation increased by 23.2% and amounted to 26.3 bln kW/h, where 3.3 bln from Ekibastuz GRES-1 were exported to the Russian regions. By the end of the year, electricity exports will be about 6 bln kWh.

In the region there is the special economic zone “Pavlodar” with 980 new workplaces. The infrastructure is developed, favorable conditions are created for attracting investments. Within the second five-year plan of the Industrialization Map 35 projects are implemented in the region (investment volume of KZ 1.1 trl and 8412 workplaces). In 2017 it is planned to execute 8 projects with the investment volume of KZ 271.0 bln and create 1323 workplaces.

Thanks to the implementation of the instruments of the state programs in the region there is the increase in entrepreneurial activity. Today, the number of operating subjects of small and medium-sized business has grown by 6.5%, volume of output – in 1.3 times. In general, KZ 4.2 bln were allocated for support and development of entrepreneurship under the program “Business Road Map”.

The main volume of housing in the region is built within the new program “Нұрлы жер”. 21 houses will be put into operation. More than 2000 families will get new flats.  In 2017 KZ 11 bln were allocated for improvement of the villages.

Within the new Program of Productive Employment, entrepreneurs of the region received support for 95 projects. 380 agricultural enterprises and 3688 peasant farms produce agricultural output. The state support measures are provided for 15 programs. 740.5 tons of meat products (57% to the plan) were exported within the program “Development of export potential of meat”. 204 procurement centers and 299 processing facilities work in the region. 114 agricultural production cooperatives have been opened in Pavlodar region by the order of the Head of the State.

One of the important achievements of Pavlodar Priirtyshye is the intellectual potential of the future generation. Over the past few years, in 2017 more than KZ 1 bln have been allocated from the regional budget to strengthen the material and technical base of schools. 118 educational facilities have been repaired (KZ 1.9 bln) by the new academic year. This year the schools of the region have opened chess clubs. All this allows us to show the best results in the international competitions. In the republican Olympiad Pavlodar schoolchildren won 55 winning places and second place among the regions. According to the results of UNT the region is also in the second position with the average grade – 91.77.
