Today, akim of the region Bulat Bakauov held a regular meeting with investors, who want to work in Pavlodar region, give money for the development of the economy of the region. It was the general director of “Agrocity” LP Nikolay Kartashev.

“The main goal is production of high-demand food products for consumption in the Kazakhstan market and exports to Russia and China. Today, agreements have been reached with the financial institutions of Poland and potential partners of Poland and Russian Federation. The total cost of the project is KZ 144 bln (80% – Polish investment)”, the investor said.

“The concept of the program is to attract the advanced Polish technologies, equipment, technology, specialists to Kazakhstan. In the plans – to restore irrigation (​​55000 he). This area is coordinated with the heads of Kazvodkhoz of the republic and head of the Satpayev channel. We expect to grow forage crops, sugar beet, vegetables, sunflower, melons and gourds as well as fruit and berry crops. We also schedule to construct Agrocity, which will include storage facilities, refrigerators, plants for production of sugar and oil, meat products, dried and frozen vegetables and fruit, granulated feeds and packaging production”, Nikolay Kartashev added.

The initiator of the project plans to organize an educational center as an operator for training and retraining of specialists in middle and senior management and trade in the educational institutions of Poland and Pavlodar region.

In the meeting akim of the region Bulat Bakauov noted that the investor’s intentions will receive comprehensive assistance within the state programs.

“Almost in each area we have the agrarian colleges, one of them we can hand in trust”, akim added.

The head of the region charged his deputies to study the project. The investors intend to start the first stage of the project in Ekibastuz.
