In 2016, the first direction of the program "employment roadmap 2020", which aimed at providing employment through the development of infrastructure and housing and communal services it was implemented 5673 infrastructure projects.

The implementation of these projects allowed to employ 40 927 thousand persons, from them 22 213 participants of the program.

In the first direction of "employment roadmap 2020" in Kazakhstan the objects were built and renovated related to the areas of housing, utilities, education, healthcare, welfare, culture, sports, landscaping, and engineering-transport infrastructure.

In 2016 on the implementation of the first direction of "employment roadmap 2020" dedicated to KZT 80.1 billion. These funds were distributed among the regions on the base of applications of local Executive bodies about numbers of projects.
