Representatives of the Committee for Roads of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “KazDorNII” JSC, “NC “KazAutoZhol” JSC, and international experts on road safety engaged by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development visited Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) in order to study and exchange experience on road safety and road traffic accidents reduction.

Participants shared information on the state of roads, number of accidents, risk factors and methods to reduce the number of injured people.

The seminar held introductory meeting in the National Inspectorate of Patrol and Department of Information Technologies at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, where activities of traffic monitoring of Chisinau were presented. Moreover, the participants visited rehabilitated national road M2 “Sarateni-Soroka”. The visit resulted in discussion of issues on technologies applied at reconstruction and maintenance of roads. Accident sections of the road were analyzed by international road safety experts.

According to the results of the meetings, the delegates agreed on further cooperation and improvement of road safety, reduction of road accidents and mortality.
