A video footage about the Academy of Justice under the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan was broadcasted in the section "Zan men tartip" of the program "Tansholpan" on the Qazaqstan TV channel.

The Academy of Justice is the only higher educational institution that provides special training for the judicial system within the framework of a one year specialized magistracy in the educational program "Court and Justice".

The ways to enter the judicial profession, the process of studying at the Academy, and the requirements for candidates wishing to enroll in the Academy are depicted in the video. Thus, candidates have to be persons at least of 29 years old who have a higher legal education and at least 5 years of experience in the legal profession.

75% of lecturers of the Academy of Justice are current judges. More than 95% of graduates successfully pass the qualification exam and subsequently participate in competitions for vacant judicial positions.

The Academy of Justice is an essential element of the judicial training system, and since last summer it is under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Judicial Council. This is a strategic and timely step aimed at modernizing judicial education and improving its quality.

"At the beginning of this year, I approved the Concept of the Development of the Academy for the near future, which envisages the opening of scientific and pedagogical master's and doctoral programs, strengthening the theoretical and practical components of educational programs," noted the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan D. Malakhov.

The transfer of the Academy of Justice to the Supreme Judicial Council has created a solid institutional foundation for its comprehensive modernization and further improvement. This has made it possible to consistently introduce new educational programs, to strengthen theoretical and practical training, which, in turn, will contribute to improving the quality of judicial education and strengthening public confidence in justice.
