Meeting of International Association for the Development of Chromium Deposits (ICDA) members held in Astana, where Alik Aidarbayev, First Vice-Minister of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan took part.

In his opening speech he highlighted successful participation of JSC “TNC “Kazhrom” in realization of the State Programme of Industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan and the message of the Head of State on the third modernization with the implementation of industry 4.0 elements.

Alik Aidarbayev paid attention on global trends of population growth, urbanization of developing countries, development of new types of transport and alternative energy lead to global steel production increase. This in return, needs development of ferroalloys production and the relevant raw materials base. Thus, the activity of the ICDA is considered as actual and demanded.

Firs Vice-Minister mentioned the work of JSC “TNC “Kazhrom” on development of current and new capacities of ferroalloys production, as well as a ferroalloys plant which is under construction in the Karaganda region.

To the attention of participants the Government’s current work, under the assignment of the Head of State, on development of Complex of measures for the technological re-equipment of the basic industries up to 2025, pointed out, as well as the introduction of the elements of the fourth industrial revolution.
