On February 9, 2025, the Gala Concert of the regional singing competition «Armysyndar, adamdar!» based on the poems of the famous poet Mukagali Makatayev was held at the Palace of Culture named after I. Zhansugurov in Taldykorgan.

The organizers of the competition are the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Zhetisu region and the regional center for Folk Art.

The purpose of the competition is to promote the poetic heritage of the famous poet Mukagali Makatayev, who managed to express the most subtle spiritual strings of the Kazakh people in his poetic lines. There is no record of the number of composers who have written songs based on the poet's poems on a variety of topics. These songs have become the property of the country today and have been passed down from generation to generation. And the main goal is to identify new songs and performers based on the poems of M.Makataev, to increase interest in art among young people. Popularization of the Mukagali heritage.

The competition was attended by 19 singers aged 16 to 35 from the districts and cities of the Zhetisu region in 2 nominations (traditional singing, pop song). Each participant (duet, trio, quartet, vocal group of no more than 7 people) performed 2 songs based on poems by M. Makataev. The candidates performed live, accompanying themselves on a certain instrument.

The jury of the competition included laureate of the International Literary Award «Alash», poet Amre Aryn, People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, actress Kenzhebekova Almakhan Nurpeyisovna, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askarbekov Bakbergen Nurshabekovich, poet, cultural worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, editor-in-chief of the Zhetysu regional newspaper «Jetisi» Amreev Zhumatai Ospanovich, deputy director of the regional Philharmonic named after Danesh Rakisheva Kenzhebaev Bauyrzhan Kairatovich.

Following the results of the competition, having won prizes, they were awarded with diplomas and letters of thanks.
