The sentence of the Almaly district criminal court of the city of Almaty has come into legal force sentencing to 10 years’ imprisonment of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Bitimbaev on the facts of preparation for the act of terrorism, propaganda of terrorism, incitement to religious hatred and illegal possession of firearms.

He got into the field of view of the National Security Committee as an adherent of destructive religious ideology and a supporter of the Daesh international terrorist organization banned in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The audit uncovered the information of his terrorist attacks preparation using explosives in places of mass population under the influence of Daesh campaign on the Internet.

After the attack, he intended to move to Syria to join the ranks of foreign militants and continue terrorist activities.

In order to disrupt these plans of A. Bitimbaev in April of the current year, he was detained in Almaty by the National Security Committee with the involvement of the internal affairs bodies.

During the search, he was seized firearms and traumatic weapons, components for making a self-made explosive device, schemes of three shopping and entertainment centers, a mask and gloves.

The guilt of A. Bitimbaev is fully proved by testimony, material and other evidence.
