April 14, 2019 in the framework of the article by Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev "Seven faces of the great steppe" in the district held competitions in equestrian sports, timed to the upcoming Presidential elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The competition program included the following types of baiga: Alaman, Kunan, tai, Zhorga , as well as such national sports as Kokpar /kozlodranye/, arm wrestling, weight lifting /Koshkar koteru/ . Opening the baiga season, Deputy mayor of the district B. T. Mombayev congratulated equestrian sports fans and wished them success. There were 15 tai baige, 22 kunan baige and 5 Pacers in jorga baige and 20 in Alaman baige. According to the results of the competition, the winning jockeys were awarded cash prizes and cups of the district Department of physical culture and sports.
