In November of the current year, the Department of the National Security Committee in the Mangystau region prevented the illegal activities of the Republican State Agency officials “Mangistau Regional Territorial Inspection of Forestry and Wildlife”, who patronized local residents for organizing poaching activities fishing sturgeon and caviar for the purpose of further distribution.

As a result of the detainees’ criminal activity, the state suffered damage in the amount of over 320 million tenge, more than 1,100 kilograms of sturgeon fish and 17 kilograms of black caviar were removed from illegal traffic.

The Department of the National Security Committee in the Mangistau region continues the pre-trial investigation under article 366 part 1 (“Abuse of official power”), article 335 part 3 paragraphs 1, 3, 4, 5 (“Illegal extraction of fishery resources, other aquatic animals or plants ”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
