The 17th meeting of the Commission on Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi was held on November 18, 2019.

The meeting agenda of the Commission included the implementation of global anti-nuclear and other foreign policy initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, strengthening of the country’s nuclear and biological security, as well as enhancement of the export control system and interaction with the international community.

Moreover, the Commission supervises the launch of the IAEA Low Enriched Uranium Bank in Kazakhstan and the training of relevant specialists.

Ministers and heads of agencies participating in the meeting of the Commission informed about the progress in the implementation of the instructions given in the previous period.
